Have you been dying for a tool that would give users the ability to access information buried in different content repositories through a single interface? If so, you might want to check out Quickr, IBM's new product.
Quickr works via connectors in the task bars of running applications and enables the checking in/out of documents from ECM systems such as Documentum, OpenText, Microsoft Sharepoint, and IBM's own Filenet.
And what about version control? Quickr allows for an e-mail link to individual documents.
There's more to say on the subject, of course. See Internetnews.com if you're interested.
I'm off to play in the Web 2.0 world where access seems open and almost boundless.
