Open Text and SharePoint Partner for Compliance

Most Life Sciences companies we know use Documentum and DCM or its predecessor GxPharma to stay in compliance...but Open Text has once again made announcement to enter the market.
Having recently muscled up with the purchase of Hummingbird, they announced that they'll be introducing a new solution for managing regulated documents ("like new drug or medical device proposals.") At their Feb 12-17 conference, they stated that the platform will operate in a controlled environment and will be built on Microsoft Office Technologies.
For what it is worth, we've seen a few clients dabble in Open Text for submissions and compliance, but we have not seen many large scale adapters. Will cozying up to Microsoft change things?
We will be waiting and watching to see if Open Text becomes the "Goliath" others claim it is/will be.
